Club Information

The main purpose of our club is to allow people of all abilities who enjoy running to come down to our club and run with other like-minded people and, if they wish, to join in any of the social events that we arrange.

The club runs from Hull and East Riding Sports Club, Chanterlands Avenue, Hull, HU5 4ED (click here for map) and we meet at 6.30pm on Monday and Wednesday.

We invite you to join us for a few sessions without obligation. We usually start with a warm-up during which members discuss how far they wish to run that night. There are usually two or three different groups who wish to run/jog over various distances on a variety of routes. Our Suggested Routes page will give you an idea of different runs and distances.

New members are always welcome to join our club which is affiliated to England Athletics and will save you at least £1 on affiliated race entries. Most members also join the Hull and East Riding Sports Club, for which you get a discount at the bar and use of the toilets and facilities. So you can have a hot shower after your run followed by a well-earned drink in the bar! A link to the Hull and East Riding sports club website is here. See our membership page for more details on subscription fees and how to join.

A club vest can be purchased if you decide you wish to represent the club in any races.

During the year our members organise various social activities away from running. These are usually well-attended and include activities such as country walks and cycle rides to name but a few. We also arrange a Christmas Quiz and Secret Santa in December. We encourage members to bring along family and friends if they so wish.
On occasions we also arrange transport for some out-of-town events such as away runs in summer when the nights are light.

Why not come down and meet us and see for yourself!
